Acting is the area I have enjoyed the most and been happiest for as long as I can remember. First, you can be free while acting. I wouldn't want to live in one city for a long time, but I would like to make a movie in Prague. What dangerous sport would you like to do? For one thing, I would like to jump out of a helicopter with a parachute. What's the most adventurous thing you've done? I'm not very adventurous, I guess. But two years ago, when I bought a one-way ticket to the United States and my flight was canceled there due to weather conditions, I bought a bus ticket on the same day and went on a long night journey from Times Square to another city in the rain. Alone... What does socializing mean to you? For me, socializing now is about being able to go for a walk with my limited friends in the neighborhood where I live, to be able to go back and forth with each other. I want to see myself respectable in the acting profession and a little close to the highest level I can reach. Are you self-critical about yourself? Of course! Most of the time, it's every moment or after every project, after every acting. I ask myself, “Did it happen or not? What was the turning point in your career? Yes, my first experience was as a television show host. I was very excited because all the big names were in front of us. Frankly, it is difficult to try not to make mistakes in front of such a community. I guess there isn't a lot of excitement in front of the cameras because you're normally modeling and acting. Is there a difference between them? Of course there is. When you make a mistake in the series, you can cut it and reshoot it, but you don't have that chance as a presenter. Every word that comes out of your mouth, the intonation, the way of address, and the ability to speak Turkish properly determine your quality in that job. Can you tell us about your life in Izmir before acting? In 1993, when I was at the end of my high school years, I was doing professional sports in Izmir. I was a licensed athlete in basketball and a medalist in swimming. I gave catwalk technical walking lessons for 5 years at Safak Fisek Agency. In 1995-1996, I was presenting a morning program called "Good Morning Sky" on Sky TV, the local television of Izmir. My first live broadcast experience was with that program. It took 1.5 years. Like a visually impaired citizen, I entered a store in Karşıyaka. I tried on a few outfits. People helped me down the stairs. I left the store and walked to the end of Karsiyaka Bazaar and sat in a café there and drank coffee. I tested myself and as far as I could see, I was quite successful. How did your desire to write a book come about? The love of writing has always been there, deep down, for as long as I can remember. When I managed to complete my first book, it continued. My profession is acting. Writing is a field that I am still an apprentice in and I am very happy that it is so. You have recently recovered from an illness and you have terrified us all. What did you experience during that period? It's all about the people. I had an issue in my brain. I hope that it will get better, that it will pass. I get tired quickly and have difficulty standing for long periods of time. Other than that, I don't have any problems, thank God. Six months before me, my husband also had the same issue in his brain. His speech center was affected, but now we're both fine, thank goodness. We are alive, we are able to do our job. There was something my mentor told me in high school. I studied engineering for 3 years before moving to theater. My mentor said, "Don't bother with you being a doctor or an engineer, you definitely have to be an actor." When I quit engineering at the end of 3 years, he called me and said, "You have come to my word, you will be very successful". My life had changed. How would you define love in your own world? I am one of those people who believe that you cannot live without love. Because it's a very strong feeling. It is a very winding and very dangerous road with a very unpredictable ending.
