Synopsis

At a very young age, Sumru (Ece Uslu) makes a heartbreaking decision. She abandons her newborn twins without even holding them. Leaving her past behind, she moves to Cappadocia with her mother, Nihayet (Isil Yucesoy), and soon marries Samet (Burak Sergen), a wealthy and influential figure in the city’s tourism industry.

Now living a privileged life in the grand Sansalan Mansion, Sumru seems to have a perfect life. She has a loving husband, two children named Esat (Genco Ozak) and Harika (Derin Ince), and the admiration of many. She never speaks of the twins she left behind, not even to her mother. To the outside world, she is a devoted wife and a caring mother. She even becomes a caring mother to her stepson, Cihan (Burak Tozkoparan). But the children she gave birth to are a part of her past she refuses to acknowledge.

Those twins, Nuh (Aras Aydin) and Melek (Hafsanur Sancaktutan), have been raised by their grandmother while their father serves time in prison. Life isn’t easy, and they have grown up filled with resentment toward the mother who abandoned them. As their grandmother is about to pass away, she reveals the truth about their mother’s identity. After her passing, Nuh and Melek decide to go to Cappadocia.

Nuh and Melek want to meet Sumru. They want to confront her and claim the place they believe is rightfully theirs. When they finally come face-to-face with Sumru and reveal who they are, her reaction is cold and shocking. Sumru denies everything.

A few days later, Sumru meets the twins in secret to offer money, hoping they’ll leave town and disappear from her life. “Giving birth doesn’t make me your mother,” she tells them, leaving Nuh and Melek stunned.

Even though Nuh and Melek hope for remorse or a heartfelt apology, they instead meet with rejection and indifference. Seeing Sumru living happily with her family and her two other biological children, the pain of Nuh and Melek deepens day by day.

Meanwhile, things are growing tense inside the Sahsalan mansion. Sumru’s widowed sister-in-law, Hikmet (Esra Dermancioglu), arrives with her daughter Sevilay (Leyla Tanlar). Hikmet and Samet make a secret deal and have one clear goal: to marry Sevilay off to Cihan and secure their future. They hope to keep the family wealth within trusted hands.

But life in Cappadocia takes an unexpected turn. Cihan comes across Melek and shares an undeniable connection. At the same time, Sevilay crosses paths with Nuh and finds herself unexpectedly drawn to him. However, these innocent feelings are shadowed by an arranged marriage between Cihan and Sevilay.

Determined not to be bought off, Melek and Nuh choose to stay in Cappadocia and reveal the truth to Sumru’s family. Melek begins working at the Sansalan mansion and develops close friendships with her grandmother. Nuh meets Tahsin (Ilker Aksum), a long-time enemy of the Sansalan family. United by a shared bitterness, Nuh and Tahsin plot their revenge.

As emotions intensify, new relationships blossom. Melek and Cihan grow closer, and so do Nuh and Sevilay. But with Cihan and Sevilay being pushed into marriage, these young people find themselves in love, loyalty, and secrets.

Characters:

Sumru Sansalan (Ece Uslu):

Sumru is a strong woman who has built a life of luxury on a foundation of denial and buried truths. She refuses to acknowledge her twins even when they come knocking at her door. Though she appears to be a loving wife and mother, her coldness toward Melek and Nuh reveals secrets in her past. As the story develops, she discloses that she was raped by her fiancee and left the twins because of that.

Cihan Sansalan (Burak Tozkoparan):

Cihan is Samet’s biological son and Sumru’s stepson. He lives abroad and stays away from his family. He has always felt excluded in his family. He returns to Cappodocia due to his father’s illness. Kind-hearted and thoughtful, he often finds himself torn between loyalty to the family and his growing feelings for Melek. Cihan is drawn to Melek at first sight. His attraction to her sparks a quiet rebellion against the plans others have made for his future — especially the forced marriage to his cousin Sevilay.

Melek Cakirca (Hafsanur Sancaktutan):

Melek is resilient, compassionate, and driven by an unshakable need to understand why she was abandoned. Despite a difficult upbringing, she maintains a sense of grace and dignity that contrasts with the bitterness she could so easily carry. Unlike her brother Nuh, Melek seeks answers more than revenge, hoping to find closure and even a connection with the mother who left her. Her developing relationship with Cihan stirs feelings of hope and belonging for the first time in her life.

Nuh Cakirca (Aras Aydin):

Nuh is a strong-willed and emotionally driven young man shaped by abandonment and hardship. Raised without a father and rejected by his mother before he could even know her, he carries a deep sense of betrayal that fuels his desire for revenge. Protective of his twin sister Melek, Nuh struggles between his moral compass and the anger that has defined much of his life. He develops a strong tie with Tahsin and considers him an elder brother. When he meets Sevilay, he shows his tenderness and love.

Sevilay (Leyla Tanlar):

Sevilay is a naïve and vulnerable young girl. She is determined to shape her own destiny, even as those around her try to dictate it for her. Sevilay quickly proves to be much more than a privileged young woman. Her relationship with Nuh forces her to confront the realities of love, class, and freedom.
