Synopsis

Umut (Ekin Koc) and his father Riza (Bulent Seyran) live quietly in their own small world. Riza works as a cleaning worker in a high-rise office building and dedicates his life to caring for his beloved son.

Umut is no ordinary teenager; he has Hyperthymesia, which is a rare condition that gives him an incredibly detailed memory. He remembers every word, every sound, and every image he’s ever experienced. While this can sometimes feel like a superpower, it also brings its share of emotional weight, as forgetting is never an option.

One morning, Umut wakes up to a day that will change everything. As usual, Riza heads off to work at the plaza. That evening, a lavish party is being thrown by Istanbul’s elite to welcome back Fecir Emirkiran (Burak Yoruk). Fecir comes from a wealthy family and has recently returned from London. He is known for his charm but also his dangerous and manipulative nature. While browsing social media, he becomes captivated by a young woman’s singing and insists she perform at his welcoming party. Coincidentally, she lives in the same neighborhood as Riza and Umut.

As the night unfolds, things take a dark turn. Fecir forces the girl (her name is Busra (Ebrar Karabakan)) to sing for him privately. Busra tries to escape his unwanted advances, and tragedy strikes. She is found dead in the forest near the plaza.

That same evening, Riza leaves work and buys a cellphone as a birthday gift for Umut. But something isn’t right. Disoriented, he wanders off into the forest, forgetting why he’s there or where he’s going. He is unaware of what has happened. Riza has been silently struggling with the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. He and his son Umut don’t know anything about this disease yet.

The next morning, Umut is worried about his father’s absence and calls him. Riza is confused and frightened, and he can only describe his surroundings. From the details, Umut realizes his father is lost in the forest near the plaza.

Rushing to the scene, Umut eventually finds Riza. He also sees the lifeless body of Busra. Shocked and heartbroken, they contact the police and are taken to the hospital.

In the following days, people from the neighborhood attend Busra’s funeral. At that moment, the police arrive and arrest Riza, accusing him of murder. The news stuns everyone, especially Umut. He knows his father would never commit such a crime. But Riza is unable to recall anything from that night and is powerless to defend himself.

The case quickly becomes popular in the media. Under pressure to close the case, the prosecutor demands swift action. Police manipulate the situation, threaten Riza with harm to Umut, and force a false confession from him.

Despite the chaos, Umut doesn’t give up. He believes in his father’s innocence with all his heart. Determined to uncover the truth, he begins using his extraordinary memory as a tool for justice. Meanwhile, he bumps into a passionate law student, Alev (Serra Ariturk). Alev quickly becomes Umut’s closest ally in the fight for his father’s freedom.

Out of pure coincidence, Umut also meets Harun (Ozan Guven). Harun is a brilliant and successful lawyer known for representing Istanbul’s wealthy people. At first, Harun is reluctant to help Umut, but he learns about Umut’s tragic past, including the loss of his entire family in a car accident. Then, he accepts working with Umut.

Harun has a strategic mind and has no ethical values. He can do anything to become successful. He thinks that he can take advantage of Umut’s unwavering determination and memory. Together, they begin uncovering the dark truth behind Fecir Emirkiran’s actions and build a case that could finally bring justice.

Umut’s journey is filled with obstacles, but Umut’s hope never wavers. Armed with memory, courage, and the support of new allies, he takes on a corrupt system to clear his father’s name and expose a powerful man’s deadly secrets.
