Biography: Deniz Sarikas was born in Istanbul in 2000. Since his sister is also a theater graduate, Deniz Sarikas was involved in theater from a very young age. He wanted to be an actor since his childhood and wanted to study at the Conservatory. After graduating from Mujdat Gezen Conservatory, Department of Acting, he started his acting career. In addition to his acting talents, he has talents in different fields such as guitar playing, vocals, fitness, swimming, dancing, and basketball. Deniz Sarikas made his debut with his role in the TV series Another Chance (Gelsin Hayat Bildigi Gibi) in 2022 and managed to attract the attention of the audience with this role. In 2023, he continued his acting career by starring in the TV series Dirty Laundry (Kirli Sepeti). Despite her young age, he took part in successful television projects.

From the interview with Deniz Sarikas

Can you tell us the story of how you started acting?

Since my sister is also a theater graduate, I was involved in theater from a very young age. Plays and rehearsals were like the normal of life. I wanted to be an actor from a very young age. Studying at a conservatory was something like the only option for me when I was preparing for university exams. Afterwards, entering the Theater department at Mujdat Gezen Art Center and meeting my talent manager Ufuk Ergin were the turning points of my life.

How did you feel when you received your first project offer?

I was really glad, of course! Especially in my first job, it was like a dream to hear that I would work with a production company BKM, and a teacher Altan Donmez.

Do you have any career goals for the future?

There are quite a lot of them! I have a career goal where I play completely different roles and improve myself in every project. I never want to be a player known for just one role. Pushing myself and constantly challenging myself is already in my character. My talent manager Ufuk Ergin also encourages me a lot in this regard, I am really lucky in this regard. Frankly, I hope that I will have a different and unique career journey.

Your first project was a television series. Would you like your next project in digital or cinema?

I would like to have all of it. I really love acting, I really love my job. It doesn’t matter what platform it is, but I can’t wait to see myself on the big screen. Cinema is a very magical place, indeed. Digital also has completely different advantages, I would love to be able to do all of them.

In your free time, you are intensely involved in sports. What does sport mean to you?

Sports take up a large part of my life; I don’t do it because I have to, I do it because I really love it. I played basketball for a very long time when I was younger, and I have always interested sports in some way in my life. I’m having fun, I’m doing sports.
