Biography: Burak Berkay Akgul was born on February 24, 1997 in Istanbul. He studied at Istanbul University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Geological Engineering, and after then, he took acting education at Akademi 35.5 Art House. Acting career was always on his mind. Even though he had no particular interest in geology, he studied geological engineering at Istanbul University. His goal was to stay in Istanbul and study acting during that time. Burak Berkay Akgul took part in many commercials and gained attention. He made his debut with his role as Ruzgar in the series Maria and Mustafa (Maria ile Mustafa).

From the interview with Burak Berkay Akgul

How did you find Cappadocia (Nevsehir)?

Since I have worked here before, all the employees and salespeople know me, which is a very good thing.

How is your friendship relationship with other actors in Sapphire (Safir)?

Everything is going very well at the moment. Ozge is very cute. We are all different people in our personal lives. We do a professional job, but our relationships are also reflected in the stage a lot. So, I am fortunate in this respect.

Despite your young age, you have a successful career by taking part in many projects. When we think about the steps you take, we wonder about the steps that shaped you.

I can say that it is the process of self-discovery over time. The training I have received so far, the experiences I have had, and my curiosity about life have brought me to this path. In addition, it is very important to meet and work with the right people at the right time.

You starred in a series with an important production like Destan. When you read the script, did you have concerns about appearing in the historical drama?

There were some historical dramas and while watching them, I always dreamed of taking part in these productions. I have always been interested in historical dramas’ costumes and lifestyles. When I read the script of Destan, I realized that it would become a tv series that had no precedent in our country. This excited me and made it easier for me to decide.

Some scenes of historical dramas require extra talent. Did you take private lessons in order to prepare for your role?

Before I started shooting my scenes, I took training for riding horses, using swords and arrows for about 1.5 months, seven days a week.

What kind of profile do you draw in bilateral relations, what values do you attach more importance to?

I don’t want to make any suggestions or coercion that will interfere with anyone’s life, including in my bilateral relations, unless someone asks me for help. Sometimes we can hurt the other person where we think we are helping.

When we take a close look at his style, we clearly notice you are the shirt enthusiast. Can we say that it gives clues to your character?

The style piece that a person prefers can affect the mood of that day and our behavior. Especially shabby shirts. It’s simple, comfortable and impressive.
