When Demet’s job does not go well, she decides to go to Istanbul with her daughter in order to have a new life there. Since they have lost everything, they want a new start immediately. Demet’s childhood friend Jale (Deniz Turker) who is living in Istanbul starts to help them when Demet and Zeynep arrives at Istanbul. Jale is a director of one of the well-known colleges in Istanbul: Sayer College. She helps Zeynep to be registered in this college. Although school fee is so expensive, Zeynep is accepted to this college with a scholarship.

In her new life, Zeynep has to endure lots of difficulties. While she is trying to adjust to her new life in Istanbul, she also tries to get along with her shallow, privileged, rich classmates. Kerem (Kerem Bursin) is the king of the school and no one, not even the teachers, dare challenge him. He is handsome, arrogant, and the son of the owner of the school. From the start, Kerem persists on bullying Zeynep and tries everything to force Zeynep run away from his school. However, he does not know that Zeynep is a really insistent girl who never gives up. Also, there is another girl, Melis (Yagmur Tanrisevsin) who is in love with Kerem and fort his reason, does everything what Kerem wants. Baris (İsmail Ege Sasmaz), on the other hand, is a close friend of Kerem but he does not tolerate Kerem’s attitude towards Zeynep. That’s why, Baris starts to help Zeynep and stays next to her all the time.

As the story develops, Kerem and Zeynep begin to find themselves attracted to each other.

On the other hand, as the story develops, it is revealed that Cihan (Emre Kinay) who is a sports teacher at school is a real father of Zeynep. This secret buried in the past not only changes the life of Zeynep but also changes the life of Melis. This is because, Melis is the daughter of Cihan and she does not want to share his father with another girl.

In this story, you will explore friendship, family relations and modern college life. How long the bullying of Kerem continue? Can two people who come from different worlds love each other? 3. I think they should close that college and turn it into a mental hospital, almost all characters are criminal or psycho. Not even a normal person

  4. If anyone knows any sites where I can see it in English or Arabic that would help A LOT

  5. Hey guys Ive found the Turkish subs from the TV channel’s hearing impaired cite . I dont know Turkish but I used google translate toolkit to translate the entire file. (It takes 3 minutes). Wheres the best place to post the subs? I’ll post the original Turkish ones so you guys can get a more accurate translation when you translate it into your own language.

    • Hi, please post to Youtube or Viki.com if you can. I really want english subtitles I was only able to see the first episode. Thank you so much!!

      • I dont know it you can post srt files to viki. Plus all their videos on Gunesi Beklerken have been taken down. I have the english subtitles through google translate but they require some heavy editing. for example Kerem gets translated to times or the bounty, or Yagmir is translated to rain and Baris into Peace.

        • Do you still have the files in “.srt” subs in english? Episodes 1-54? If so, I know how to combine them on the actual videos.

      • where can i watch gunesi beklerken 1-54 episodes with english subtitles i am very curious for this serial? please help me

    • Or maybe post to this website but I think you need to make an account to upload:
      https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/61963-g-nesi-beklerken/season/1?language=en

      • I know of sites to post it on, but I’m looking for the one thats most accessible to fans of this series

        • Hi Sabrina,

I’m willing to do hardsubs and upload them on dailymotion if you like? I just need the subs or the trans, as i can download the video myself and use your subs/trans English to sub the video. Please let me know if your interest?

          • They’re actually in need of a lot of translation. Like some characters get their names literally translated. For the most part you can understand whats going on, but some of the people who want the subs don’t speak English as their first language, so it might not make sense. Would you like to work on them first? I can open them up to you using a shareable file in google?

            • Hi Sabrina,

Sorry for the late reply back personal issues came up. If you like we can remake another GB channel on viki but i’ll upload the video so we can have everyone worldwide to access the drama. As for translation we can use the Turkish subs as the main and have other international subs to join as a team to help does who suffer like me lol ? I’m willing to put in the hard work, cos i’m tried of not having any subs for my fav dramas. let me know what you think? my email is [email protected]

          • i am intersted

  8. where can i watch it in english tried on viki but it doesnt wok please help

  9. my initial thought when i saw the first few episodes of this series was:boys over flowers!!! and i though t to myself that this is a copy of that…but it really wasnt. not even close!!ive got a couple of episodes left but only the first few were like boys over flowers. the rest waz completely different. sure it is about highschool. love but while zeynep is smart,,beautiful and cunning jan di was boring and i seriously hated her dumb facial expression s. zeynep on the other hand stands firm and strong and i love evey decond i spend watching her and kerem’s love story. i recommend this to any one young at heart. cheers

  10. I’m Persian and I’m in love with this series it’s awesome

  11. It reminded me of “boys over flowers” Korean series. I haven’t watched waiting for the sun yet; if the story is almost like that, please tell me so that I won’t watch this one. Although there sure are differences.

  12. im persian d love this serial so and so much thanks so much

  13. I am Persian and I watch gunesi beklerken on gem tv
Gunesi beklerken is the best and i love hande and kerem
    Thank you

  14. My favourite love story is aksel and melis their story was beautiful and the idea of the dangerous bad boy aksel and the way he falls inlove with melis and accepts her for who she is no matter what and the way she learns to forget her old love kerem and falls inlove with aksel and loves him for who he is .aksel and melis are both broken and have been depressed. and their crazy behaviour is due to the things they have been through in their lives and they both are really alike . And have nobody bt eachother. Aksels love towards melis is beautiful and everlasting and it is not just an ordinary boring story like a nice innocent girl and bad boy it shows real things teenagers experience and the bad side of teenagers and the sensitive sides and the way we learn to develop and learn from our mistakes . And want someone to love us for who we are and stand besides us and understand us .Even kerem can not love zeynep the way aksel loves melis she is his true love and no matter how much years go by he only wants one girl which is melis and wouldn’t change a thing about her and will always stand besides her and no matter how much she leaves he will always follow her and never let go of her . Which is something modern teenagers want a man to accept them for who they are and no matter what happens never let go and stand besides them and love them .and even through the hardest experiences to continue to love and not let go and try to get through it . Because their love is stronger than whatever tragedies have happened . I think not everybody should just focus on zeynep and kerem because it is a normal common story like innocent girl bad boy and then fall inlove people should give others a chance and put their self in their position and be realistic (and no melis is not obcessed with kerem) she loved him and was blinded bt his love which is something almost all teenagers have experience and it was a bad experience for her and she payed the price and there was consequences for her and everyone around her due to her love towards kerem and kerem had no respect for melis. But nobody should forget the fact that in the end melis fell inlove with aksel and he was her true love and ended up together because of Aksels deep love for Melis and even knowing melis might not forgive him he did not let go and always loved her no matter what.

  15. Don’t be so harsh on melis she used to love kerem and nobody can blame her for that she’s a young teenaged girl and we all make mistakes however throughout the show that changes and there is a strong one story which is aksel and melis and they fall inlove .

  16. It’s absobloodylotely my fav. Turkish series evaaaa ! At least it has a happy ending , it’s rare in the turkish drama , for real !( i’ve tried to watch some of their work , god it’s depressing !!!! ) but gunesi beklerken is just the BEST !! Most recomended for sure ,, and by the way melis doesn’t love kerem , it calls obsession.

  17. When will Gunsei Beklerken come out in America with english subs? I watched the first episode with eng subs and cant find the rest. Please let me know! the first episode was really good!!! Will they come out with a CD with eng subs? i know it was made in turkey but i really want to watch it!

  18. its an amazing drama but where r the english subs??

  19. It’s a perfect series I never liked Turkish and Korean series but when I saw this I changed my opinion about Turkish series. Kerem loves Zeynep crazily but there are other things in their love that attract you and keep you watching and waiting for the new episode. one of this series’ main idea is “greatest love starts with hate”.
now the last episode is 49th and I’m waiting for 50th 😀
I heard this series has copied from other series but I watched some parts and episodes of those series and I understand that it’s not true.
it’s a special series and from other movies and series. I suggest u to watch it and enjoy.

  20. No,because it was meant to be for the turkish viewers, not for americans or other people.

  21. as other said,is there anywhere so we can watch it with English Sub? Pls and thanks.

  22. I wonder the same thing as Kay: does anyone know where we can watch this online with English subs? I’ve kept my eye on the Viki page for ages now since that is the only place I’ve found that has subs for this show, but they’re not re-uploading the removed episodes :/ They were removed due to copyright infringement, I think, so they probably don’t want to upload them again and go through the same process twice. It’s too bad though, ’cause a lot of people want to watch this show.

  23. Is there anywhere we can watch this in english? viki does not work. Thanks

  24. –synopsis–

Drama’s main idea( hate turns to a love) come from one korean drama called Boys over flower. This drama is getting interesting. Zeynep and Kerem love each other but there is some problems such as Melis and Barış, because Barış and Zeynep will date for a while and Melis is still loving Kerem. Cihan figure it out that Zeynep his daughter but he could not tell her because of Melis. And there is an another character called Aksel. Aksel is enemy of Kerem and Barış and falls in love with Melis. Many rumours are telling that Aksel will do something Kerem’s car and Kerem will get in accident and coma but this is just a rumour yet… When you see the love between Zeynep and Kerem, you will want to watch more 🙂

  25. This has a staggering resemblance to one of the most popular teenage soap operas ever, althoug it has some differences I think this show must be inspired by it. Rebelde Way is the name of the original, it was an Argentine soap opera broadcasted in 2002-2003 that was pupular world wide being broadcasted in (albany, germany, australia, bolivia, Bosnia, Bulgary, chile, colombia, costa rica, Croatia, ecuador, slovenia, slovakia,Spain, usa, guatemala, honduras, georgia, greece, israel, italy, kazakhstan, mexico, moldavia, montenegro, nicaragua, paraguay, peru, poland, portugal, puerto rico, czech republic, republic of macedonia, dominican republic, romania, russia,el salvador, serbia, turkey, ukrain, uruguay and venezuela)It was so popular that has had many versions the most popular remake is the Mexican one Rebelde, but it was also copied by Brasil.
