Mine (Gulcan Arslan) is a young and beautiful girl who has a modest life. Sinan (Hakan Kurtas), on the other hand, is a handsome guy who comes from a rich family. These two young lovers do not care about their different family backgrounds and want to live together in harmony for a long time.

When Mine becomes pregnant from Sinan, their tender love story turns into a tragic love story. Both of their families disagree of their relationship. Sinan’s family does not tell Sinan that Mine is pregnant and send him to USA for his master’s degree. After her lover breaks their marriage promise, Mine becomes totally alone and tries to handle the emotional pain of her family by herself.

Mine has a conservative family who does not approve of pregnancy before marriage. Mine’s father Turan (Cetin Tekindor) devotes his life to leave good values to his wife and his three children. He tries to teach them on moral values, justice, honesty, and trustworthiness. For this reason, when he learns that his little daughter is pregnant before marriage, his life turns upside down. His sadness also affects the life of Timur (Bulent Inal) who is the boss of Mine’s father. Timur is a young and rich widow man who owns a big car store and lives happily with his 13-year old daughter. Since Timur respects for Mine’s father, he wants to do something good for him. In order to save the life of Mine, Timur accepts to get married to her and take the responsibility for the baby. Although it is an arranged marriage agreed only on paper, Mine and Timur become attracted to each other as the story develops.

In this story, you will explore a romance, family relations, hope, anger, conflict and betrayal at the same time. 1. With all the negative comments you would think Netflix would try to fix this or at least give an answer !!

  2. I too am sad that we were left hanging after season
One of the girl I loved. Please give us season two. Who cares if the actors are older. Where can I find season one now that it is not on Netflix? Also any other series with Bulant Inal? I really liked him!

  3. Please give us season 2 of the girl I loved. We were heartbroken when season 1 ended. Please just do it!!!

  4. I hated the ending .. hopefully there’s a part 2 series.. there’s still so much to discover.. please where can I find season 2??

  5. Love this show. So sad there’s no season 2. The little boy who played Mine son is in another Turkish drama called Intersection. Please bring back season 2

  6. The best I have ever seen. How can this be the end? Please let us know if is is to continue. Timur is such a good man, unbelievable. Is that series availlable on DVD? In netflix it is only availlable until 31.10.2019.

  7. Pls bring back Season 2!!!! So many loose ends .. not fair to the fans, leaving it in the middle of no where…. 🙈

Please work out the difference’s & please bring the show on again Bulant!.. love the guy so much! 💕… Miss it so much…. Please, please, please!

    1. Sadly there probably won’t be a second season…the actors are older now and most likely won’t do another season..I wish it would come back too..

  8. I think Timur is a really geniune good guy. He is so generous and a caring guy. He grew up and had to work hard for everything got. He is always helping someone. Sinan on the other hand is a spoiied brat. Always got what he wanted. Never had to work for anything. It was all handed to him. Very childlish, selfish and immature. Sinan always just thinks of hisself. I think Sinan was killed by his father. Timur will get blamed for it since he left for a short before his wedding. I think the hangup calls were done by Sinan to Timur but to Merve it was her mother. Why Timur left before the wedding, I do not know. But it might have picked up something for Mine or something to do with his daughter. They just did that to make it look like Timur shot Sanan. Timur had no reason to shoot Sanan. He is too mature, smart and caring to shoot someonel. He was happy so why would he take a chance on getting charged with murder. The x-wife is a puzzle to me. She sounds a little evil to me to come back right at a perfect timing to enter the scene.

  9. So disappointed to find out there is no season 2 being shown on Netflix of ( the girl I loved ) was there a season 2 made ?

  12. I also am a fan of Turkish drama tv and was devastated how this one ended. The acting was good so was the plot. The saga of Sinan and Mine was so sad. Timur I hated. I don’t think he was a good guy at all. It broke my heart what they all did to Sinan they basically stole his life. Mine was not a great support to him either and could have helped him more with bonding with his son. I created my own ending which has Sinan surviving and finding someone that will truly love him, Timur’s wife showing exposing him for what he is, a manipulative and controlling person. Mine will not be able to marry him and hopefully will realise that she is better off. But she will have to come to terms with the choices she has made and will have to go in alone raising Hasan. I think a 2nd season was intended. So hey listen up Netflix! There’s a lot of Turkish tv fans out here get us a second season!

  15. Please please finish the story!!!
What everyone else said is true. We need to have answers.
    Too many things left undone.

    1. Seems to be a trend in many scenarios. Sometimes, as with 1001 or Gönul, Netflix just does not deliver all episodes, which is very frustrating, and viewers end up watching bad quality videos on YouTube. On the other hand, there may not be a point in getting all answers as we expect it. Life does not provide answers to everything.

Turkish series are totally addictive and surpass many others I have seen. America has a few things to learn.

      1. Totally agree! The Turkish show are very captivating and very romantic and alluring. Love watchig them.

      2. I second that, i have watched many turkish shows now – come on Netflix!! Show us ALL the seasons, it is not fair to leave us hanging like this – The girl I loved is hands down the best show i have seen yet and the music is amazing – is there a soundtrack and am I able to buy all seasons on dvd and if so where do i find them?

      1. Feel the same way. I kept looking and looking for season 2. I called Netflix and they said no other seasons as yet

  16. I kept looking for Season 2 . Too much unresolved issues. Can’t belueve Episode 79 was the last!!!Too much time invested to keave me in the air!!! Am I supposed to make the ending????

  17. I cannot believe we are all left hanging… what is the deal? Does Sinam die? Who is the mother? Does that jerk, Turin, get the girl? Does sh e finally wake up to see who loved her, Sinan?? Very disappointed in the endin!!! Bring it back and you will have a huge following!!

    1. Truly agree… I totally flipped seeing the end!

What happens to the poor mad Sister??

Loved the bond Timur had with Miné though🙈

Not fair to fans at all…

  18. I think Timur shot Senan – the hand with the gun was definitely a man’s hand and where did Timur have to go right at the moment he was to be married? Why did he have to park away from wherever he went to? And how in the world did a supposedly dead first wife show up? What’s the secret there? I don’t think Timur was a good guy at all – for all the reasons stated by others before me. And I am really disgusted that they did not finish this series after 79 episodes. I seem to remember watching one other Turkish series that did not end properly. I may have to stop watching them if this is how they do – I also watched a BBC production that was not ended (show was cancelled) – it was about a poor girl that started working in a department store in London and ended up married to the owner – it was really good but can’t remember the name of it right now.

    1. I agree with all you have said. Do you think that the uncle of the little girl staying with Sinan shot him, or could it have been Derin? And does anyone know if there is a book that this story was taken from?

    2. It seems most likely that Timur shot Sinan, as the hand on the gun was a big man’s hand, and Sinan recognized him, if it had been Derin, Sinan would not have been calm. If it had been the uncle of the little girl, he would not have been calm and talking to a seemingly familiar person. Timur likely was not as good as he appeared, especially considering some of the things he did to separate Mine and SInan, very unethical, also the way he married her not allowing her a chance to reconnect with Sinan. Sinan was the noble, helpful person who could sacrifice himself in order to help, but he had poor circumstances. The mother did not die, there was a one time mention that she had left and never appearead again. Very frustrating last episode..

      1. This is the best Turkish drama on tv. The ending is so upsetting. Timur did not shoot Sinan. He had no reason to. It had to be Memo. I can’t believe that Netflix cancelled it.

    3. I believe that the show you are referring to is : The Paradise. I loved it very much and it was cancelled and ended after season 2 which left a lot to be desired. It was originally on PBS Masterpiece, but moved to Netflix. Have a great day!

  20. Just watched episode 79 and very upset that I’m left hanging on. Surely theres got to be another season. I’m going to stop watching Turkish dramas from now on as I spent all my spare time watching this and neglecting my house. Disgusted at the ending

  21. This is my third disappointing Turkish tv drama, love bird then intersection and now the girl I loved.
The storyline is encouraging but you go off track quite often. You lost me in so many side stories that i had to fast forward half of the episodes. Adding to that it’s typical Turkish tv, unfinished story. Unfinished book doesn’t pass the publishing approval, hmmm.
It was great to see Mine’s choice of Timur. Mature character that supported her from the start. He lost his patience few times with her but fortunately his maturity got him back on track. He was aware of the fact that Mine’s decision has to be made on her terms, it was emphasised when he tore apart her photo with sinan in a moment of loosing patience, next minute he put it back together and told her only you can tear it up.
While sinan had no patience for her, still living in the past, ignorant that life moved on, he was demanding/selfish character putting his needs over his son and Mine’s. Not even a thank you or any appreciation for Timur who took care of his ex girlfriend as an abandoned pregnant teenage.
Mine’s choice of Timur was expected from the start. I was just waiting for it to happen, glad it did.
But what just happened in the last ep? Getting frustrated with the Turkish drama. It’s maybe time for me to learn my lesson and stop watching the Turkish drama all together.

    1. Omg …. I cannot believe that there is no season 2 ???? This is unbelievable….😪😡whst happened did they run out of money ?? How can this be ?

  22. I can’t believe how Turkish writers leave so much unresolved— the worst characters who cause the most pain just walk away!! In Intersection & Girl I Loved there is so much pain inflicted on the innocent & perpetrators just walk away! Episode 79 is a disgrace– so many unresolved issues. I love TUrkish actors but I am DONE watching Turkish drama!

  23. I am addicted to your Netflix movies, but this one isn’t complete. It isn’t available on You Tube, and it leaves you hanging. Did Sinan die? Did Derin shoot him? Does Turan’s dead wife show up at the wedding? Did he ever get to marry Mine? Was the “dead wife'”, the secret caller? Would someone please answer these questions. Is the rest ever going to be available?
    Thank you

    1. As frustrating it may be, get yourself involve and imagine what could happen next. Do not allow yourself to be lazy. Imagining life unfold has always been one of the purpose of movies.
Watch Ezel, 1001 nights, Filinta – they go to the end and we are still left with questions.

  24. From the comments, there are many different viewpoints about how they would like to see the series end. Living in the USA, I am used to having all the ends tied neatly with not much left to my imagination and I feel unsettled when, after watching a long series like this one, so many issues that captivated me are not resolved. It would be nice if at least there were two alternative final episodes so more of us could be happy. In any event, I think the Turkish movie industry has captivated the entire world with these long running human interest series, and I for one say thank you for the many hours of entertainment they have provided me.

  25. Dreadful ending – were is season two? Sinan was just a spoilt little rich boy – Taimur was a rich man but was used by her family even though he was much older than her – all in all was a good series but I hope my family never becomes that mixed up!

  26. Wow wow wow! I’m done done and done! I can you put that much time in 79 episodes And leave viewers hanging! That’s it no more! I hope no one watch these movies again ! I’m very emotionally upset!

  27. I am done with Netflix. I watched 79 episodes of The Girl I Loved to be left hanging. At least another few to wrap up the loose ends. Very disappointing.

    1. im done with netflex also there is a season two for The girl I loved they just did not pick it up, this is the third one why would you get a get them all does anyone know where i can get
      second season english sub title

  28. I can’t believe that there will not be a continuation to this story. Was there a wedding Timur never finished his vows. Sinan is laying there dying and no one calls 911. I believe it was Derin who shot him. It was a very poor ending. Moving on to Interception. Hope it’s a better ending!

  29. Hey guys! I really recommend Winter Sun. Its an another lovely Turkish show on NetFlix. I finished all episodes in a month.

    1. Is there a happy ending for the good guys ? I don’t think I can take another unhappy unjust ending. The people who lie, cheat, manipulate & commit crimes all pretty much get away with it . Sinan got robbed of his love, his son, his parents ,his inheritance from a controlling, wealthy manipulative selfish man who lusted after a 17 year old girl. Nothing was done out of the goodness of his heart. He had many opportunities to do the right thing before Hassan was born if he truly cared about Mine. He is suppose to be this mature man & he has no sympathy for a man who was robbed of his his rights to be a father. He used that child as a wedge and a weapon. And he was rewarded for it. I had a love/hate relationship with series.

  30. This story sure did twist and turn. All I kept thinking was “What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.” I did not care for the character, Timur. Don’t get me wrong, the actor himself is handsome. I found the character controlling and manipulative. Also, his immediate lust for Mine was unseemly, icky actually. She was a 17 year old girl and I think he was more than 20 years older (going by the actor’s actual age). He locked in her in her room, took her phone, reminiscent of the punishment and control Mine’s father inflicted on her. Sinan and Mine were victims in the lies and coverups their families concocted to protect “honor” and family name. I did not like the last episode either. Not sure if it is The End though as Netflix has a bad habit of hooking me on these Turkish dramas and then withholding the subsequent episodes.

    1. ….you got that one right! If you are looking for happy endings, or even for everyone to LIVE..don’t depend on Turkish Dramas! Don’t get me wrong..I’m watching all of them…all 70+ episodes and even when Netflix drops the subtitles and you are left watching them in Turkish…I struggle on! They are so interesting…I’m even going back to series that ended in 2010. Please…Netflix and Youtube….continue to put them on for us…

  31. I’m so angry with the ending! I watched every single episode on Netflix and there are so many cliff hangers which were not addressed. Netflix should have posted a season 2 as I can’t find it online!

    1. I am going a little crazy here as I finished episode 79 and there are still a lot of un finished questions!!! Need to find answers to these
How or when can I get more of this series????

      1. Hii,

This has nothing to do with your comment but I just thought of asking you since this is the latest comment here.
Are you a regular Turkish series watcher? If so can you recommend me some good ones?
Till now I watched Ezel, Kara Para Ask, Fatmagul Succu Ne?, Until Death and Siyah Beyaz Ask.

        Thanks

        1. I just finished Kara Para Ask and now watching 20 minutes about a man trying to save is wife by breaking her out of jail when she is wrongly accused of murder. Those of you who are watching or have watched the last season of Ertugrul (which I highly recommend) will recognize in this humble and meek man, the bell ringer who is as evil and twisted as they come. Really shows the range and skill of the actor.

By the way, Ertugrul was the father of Osman, the first ruler of the Ottoman Empire. Lots of action for the men, and plenty of intrigue, gorgeous costumes and ornate headdresses, textiles and incredible nomad tents. I binged on the first three and then waited for Season 4 and have finished 5. But, for those who loved it, weep not because a follow-up series featuring Osman (origin of Ottoman), is now playing in Turkey and we will get it…who knows when – if Netflix picks it up.

  32. I loved Kurt Seyit and Sura but hated how they were kept from each other. Now I watch “The Girl I Loved” and it has AWFUL ending!! Do the Turks not believe in happy endings? I could not believe there is not another season. Why leave us all “hanging”? Not sure I want to watch anymore Turkish shows . Of course, I will watch anything with Kitvanc Tatlung in it. Can’t spell his name correct.

  33. I just finished watching Season One of this series and am astonished that Netflix does not obtain Season 2. Not sure if there is a problem with American and Turkish agreements to purchase it or what, but it is really sad that Netflix would only get one season of any series leaving all who watch it angry. To invest that many hours in just one season is one thing, but to not have a second or final season is quite another. If the problem in obtaining it lies with the Turkish producers/writers etc. and this is the norm for them, then Netflix and all other American media’s should not get them at all. So sad to leave viewers hanging with unanswered questions. For that reason, I will not watch another Turkish movie.

    1. I totally agree! This is the second of several Turkish soap operas that I’ve been binge-watching, only to find out that you’re left hanging without any conclusion. The programs and acting have always been great, but I’m soooo disappointed that after watching the 79th program last night, there was no conclusion!!! NETFLIX shouldn’t sign on with any program, unless they have the rights to the other seasons.

  34. To everyone: Do not blame netflix on the shitty ending. The show endet in 2012 and there is no second season, dont waste your time waiting for it. I am so sad because its literally the worst ending that could possibly happen.

I dont think that Mine didnt love Sinan. She loved him so much but it just wasnt meant to be. After 2 years and Hasan being used to Timur I dont know how i would decide. She also started loving Timur .. and he is a good guy, just so much older than her.

    1. See , I disagree Timur is not
a good guy. If he really cared about her he would of let her go to Sinan with her passport to find out if Sinan really left her. Again , even before Hassan was born after Sinan came back injured & found out she was married Timur led him to believe she was pregnant with his baby. Even before Hassan drew his first breath. If he really was a good guy he would know how her heart truly belonged to Sinan . Timur took advantage of her desperation and only through all the manipulation, deceit, lies & coontrol he drove a wedge between Sinan & Mine because of Hassan’s attachment to him.I don’t know if its typical of Turkish Dramas but the ones I’ve watched so far, good moral charachter & true pure love don’t seem to win the day. The old guy who lusted after a 17 year old girl did….Gross.

      1. i get what you mean. of course the age gap between mine and timur is extreme and that he did some really bad things. but at the end of the day I do think that he really loved her and that she started loving him too at the end. dont get me wrong: I still think that sinan is the one for mine. he truly loved her and their love was just innocent and pure but it just wasn’t meant to be. also hassan got used to timur and I think he was a good father to him. I think it was hard for mine to go back to sinan after all this time

      2. Well, I am afraid we Americans are spoiled and want happy endings all the time. That is not real life. While Timur did manipulate, he got the girl through strength of character and will. But his love in the end is more stable then Sinan’s who was just not growing up. Mine did grow up and accepted that she has moved on and that Sinan is a spoiled boy even if his love is true and constant.
And both sets of parents did everything to keep them apart. But guys, you have to understand the culture. It is different from ours, vastly different, so you can’t judge their actions based on how we do things here. Then again, just watch American soap operas. The evil, conniving and manipulative characters, including parents, are legion.

  35. Girl I lovedis the 4th Turkish series I’ve watched on Netflix
I have really loved all of them. Filming on location characters plots and acting are all terrific. However girl I loved has left me terribly disappointed and baffled!!! I have invested my time on 79 episodes and driving my husband crazy with every detail
And feel totally lost after the last episode!!!
How does merve see her mom at the wedding when all along were led to believe Timor was a widow
What happens to Eminemwho is definitely out of her mind
Does turan and his wife reunite
Does sinan recover and unite with the neighbor and her child
What about erdal and fundas baby
And what about the physco Derin who shot Sinan
This was a wonderful family saga story but totally left me disappointed!!!

  36. I am very upset at Netflix. How can they make us watch 79 EPISODES and leave us hanging like that. I think Derin killed Sinan or maybe he is not dead? Now Merve’s mother came back but are they divoeced? otherwise Mine’s marriage to Timur is not legal. There are so many unrelsoved issues. esmahan and Turan? Is the baby a girl or a boy? And why bring the widow with the girl to Sinan’s life and kill him?

  37. enjoyed watching the series. Eminem played her role very well. I do think Sinan should have a happier ending. He did nothing wrong. He was loyal to Mine but she kept pushing him away for stupid assumptions. the father acted very well. Erdal and Funda made a cute couple. did not like Timur character. the girl Merve was quite annoying. waiting for the next season.

  38. I HAVE WATCHED ALL 79 EPISODES THAT WERE SHOWN ON NETFLIX AND BOTH MY WIFE AND I WERE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE STORY HAD NO END.
WHY DID’T NETFLIX PURCHASE SERIES 2.
THIS IS NOW THE 3RD SHOW THAT I HAVE WATCHED WHERE I AM LEFT HANGING NOT KNOWING THE OUTCOME.
    NOT FAIR TO AMERICAN VIEWERS.
IN 2016 NETFLIX REACED AND AGREEMENT WITH TURKISH TV.
AS SUBSCRIBER FOR MANY YEARS I AM VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE LACK OF CONSIDERATION FOR THE VIEWERS.

  39. Its a story with lots of twist, Timur and Mine played Sinan’s feelings and life. Mine could have told Sinan about their son and introduce each other even though the boy is still young. He has the right to know him and not to waste time and enjoy each other. Mine and Timur are cruel. Mine is kind of young to be Timur’s wife, she is almost the same age as his daughter Merve, but Timur is selfish (for his own intention) and took advantage of Mine’s situation for his own purpose. Mine is like a sly fox , trying to give Sinan a hope but then in the other hand crushed him to death. For the writer, I hope you will give Sinan a chance to be happy, find a girl who will love him truly not like Mine (no backbone) and a chance to enjoy his son. Derin the psychotic and evil woman should be put to mental hospital. Erdal is funny and they are good together with Funda. Family is important than pride, honor and what other people say. When someone falls or made a mistake in a family – support, help, understanding and love should be given and not to worry about shame or care what other people say.

  40. I started watching Turkish tv around the same time I started listening to Dr. Jordan Peterson from Toronto. He analyzes relationships based on an OCEAN scale of 5 traits; being agreeable is one, and in this clip he talks about parenting, status, and personality. I think it goes with the discussion about Timur and Mine. I love how she parents Hasan. (“Aybars Kartal Ozson was born in Uskudar, Istanbul in 18.05.2008 and he is the son of a family which immigrated from Bulgaria to Turkey”, quoted from the IMDB page on him)

  41. This is so disappointing, I am outraged at the ending I will not watch another Turkish series again! Shame on Netflix for doing this to their viewers!

    1. This has nothing to do with Netflix. There were talks of there being a second season but it’s not going to happen

  42. Hello

Can anyone please please help me with some info on ‘Tatli Kusuk Yalanchilar’.

Where can I get this series with English Subtitles??

will be ever grateful if anyone can help!

      1. But how do you get them.
I agree it was disappointing. Too many strange happenings and the characters were not always clear and often had no basis in reality.

Why did Timur leave the wedding? I doubt that Timur killed Sinan. He really didnt need to.
Did Derin or Timurs father kill him. Is he really dead???

Sinan was really the only one who didnt do anything wrong. He deserved better.
        I thought Timurs wife died
Timur did some pretty awful thingsl, even if he did love Mine. I am sad they got married. He tried to play God.

  43. Love all the Turkish series. Watched almost all of them on Netflix. Disappointed in Netflix for not purchasing rights to show entire series. Perhaps there is an issue obtaining rights for the other seasons. It leaves your audience frustrated because we cannot finish any of the Turkish series. I’m addicted to these series and the acting is so refreshing. Kurt Seyit ve Sura was the first one I watched and it was fantastic.

  44. I am flabberghasted to think I invested my time to watch 78 shows of The Girl I Love to end up hanging. and then come to the realization there is not a contiuation to this. That is relly crazy! What were the producers thinking? This experience was a love/hate review….loved it and HATED the end.

  45. spoiler alert but I had to pause the video and comment on Onuryay Evrentan who plays the victim really well as Emine but really it is ALL her fault…
the texting and the letter…and really why doesn’t she show the letter and stop this insanity..I want to rat her out…and yell at her…yes, I am that much in to the story…
    saçma!!

    1. I’m also really upset with the unfinished series from Netflix, of course that’s not the end of THE GIRL I LOVED, and I could say this is a scam!!!!

  46. There is a big clamor for Netflix to air Season 2 of THE GIRL I LOVED (and even the other unfinished series of other series. I hope we will be heard…

  47. Hello,

I saw some episodes on Netflix, when I travelled to America. Now I am back to Romania and I can not find the movie. Please do you help me with a website where I can see the entire movie in english/spanish subtitles?

    Thank you,
    Virginia

  48. I am so liking all of the Turkish movies. They are better than American shows. But I am hoping there is going to be a Season 2 of A Girl I over. You just can’t end the movies unfinished. Please make a Season 2. Thank you

  49. Please please let ne know if there is a Season 2!! I want to know if who was the lady came to their wedding??? And I want to see Mine truely love Timur, I want to see Timur became happy with Mine, this time Mine fell in love with Timur!! I want to see them have happyending… I can’t get over this drama… it keeps me going back and watching oover and over again!! Help me where to find the Season 2, am willing to rent if i have to!!!

    1. I also am enjoying”turkish movies” classier, not much foul lanquage and I like the family standard’s.
I watched 79 series, also and left with cliff hanger? so disappointing! If there is episode 2 , please netfllix purchase this. Thankyou

  50. this is absolute BS, they always has an un finished ending, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, why the hell does it always do this,

  51. Just finished watching the last show and very disapointed as everyone else. I love Turkish shows. I seen so many, but many had unfinished ending. Very frustrating.

  52. Timur’s disappearing 1/2 hour before the wedding is unexplainable. He is very insecure and so jealous of Sinan he had to eliminate him. His having been there for Mine was not from the goodness and generosity of his heart but his obsession of this young girl right from the 1st time he laid eyes on her. He had to eliminate Sinan otherwise he’ll never be sure of Mine as long as Sinan was. around and in the life of the boy. I’ve hated Timur all along. He did evil things using that evil girl.

    1. I am starting to wonder if Timur has some autism…he seems like he can’t talk in the moment. He feels like things are out of control unless he is controlling it all. His defense system shadows any compassion that others claim he has.

    2. I think Derin shot Sinan, but Timor may be blamed for it as he did not tell anybody where he went. I think the lady who came to the wedding was Timor’s first wife. Just guessing.

      1. Derin does not have a hairy arm. He was shot by a male. The woman that came in at the very end was Merve’s mother. She called out to her!

      2. Dern did not shoot Sinan. She does not have a hairy arm. Watch this episode again. A hairy armed man reached out with the gun. Also, the woman that walked into the wedding at the very end was Merve’s mother. She called out to her.

      1. I agree in that Derin killed Sinan. The problem is if the lady appearing at the wedding is Merve’s mother are they divorced or he made everybody think he is a widow and then his marriage to Mine is not legal. I am so mad at this ending !! My first Turkish series was Seyt & Sura and although it does not have a happy ending it is a true story and that’s ok. I hope Netflix gets the rest of this story because there are many issued UNRESOLVED. I fell betrayed by them.

  53. Does anyone know the lyrics to the theme song? it sounds very painful, I can make out some words and have an idea of what it is about.

    1. I saw a boy (also: a girl, a child) far away,
      His eyes mournful, even fearful.
Despite everything for a split second the boy smiled
Warm, simple but a little suspicious

I loved a boy far away,
I supposed this was his yearning too.
However he, with his one stare, stripped me
Off my veils, merely merely by his feelings

I have not seen such a heart, such a love
Now a boy grows day by day
He caressed all sorrows one by by,
Coiling up to a secret hope, a little resentful.

I saw a boy far away,
I little boyish, a little manlike, a little nobody.
In his hands wet* time bouquets,
He chose a path that has not been taken before.

I loved a boy far away,
Tomorrow in one hand, yesterday on the other.
Due to getting old prematurely, he seems a little sad,
He laughes away, looking at world condition.

I have not seen such a heart, such a love
Now a boy grows day by day
He caressed all sorrows one by by,
Coiling up to a secret hope, a little resentful.

  54. Dear Carmen Gonzales
Sorry that episode is before Sina comes from America

    There is no season 2

    🙁

I want Sina to get married with the red hair kady with a daughter and Timur to be back with his ex wife and Mine to be in an accident so Hasan can be with Sina.

  55. I don:t like the way it ended either. Sinan wasgood and didN;t deserve that ending. Mine wasnt fair to him

  56. I am addicted to this series and am hoping mature Mine falls in love with Timur.I feel sorry for Sinan but he needs to move on with his life and both men need to give Mine a chance to sort through her feelings. I almost found the father Turan comical with his long suffering feeling sorry for himself and the same with the mother.I Haven’t finished episode 1 and reading about the disappointing cliffhanger I’m not sure I want to subject myself to that letdown. Please Netflix show us more happy ending series, there’s enough misery in the world.I enjoyed VELVET for IT’S happy ending.

    1. I do not like the way season one ended so I am hoping there will be a season 2. Sinan needs to not be dead but have a recovery from his wounds and fall in love with the red haired lady and her adorable little girl. I am happy Mine falls in love with Timur and remarries him. I find Mine’s brother so extremely annoying and downright silly. I feel great sadness for her sister Emine. She definitely needs help to think straight. She is also such a good actress. Mine’s father, Turan is so irritating and selfish and also a hypocrite. He constantly feels sorry for himself. I think Mine’s mother is wonderful and does her best to help her family. Sinan, I also feel for but he is too controlling and pushy and if he would have had some patience to understand Mine better, that would have helped her stay in love with him. This is such a good series with lots of devious spiteful people. Sinan’s father is unbearably evil and gross and so wild eyed looking, also a good match for this part. Although Timur has done some devious things, he respected Mine and loved her enough to be happy without being intimate with her. I like him and I do not think he shot Sinan. I think Sinan’s father shot him or else that crazy girl that tried to accuse Sinan of pushing her off the ledge. I think Timur is basically good. I cannot wait to see Season 2.

      1. There will not be a S2. This show is from 2011. If I had known that there would no closure, I would not have watched it. Netflix should not buy a show with a story that is not finished.

        1. I was so hoping for a season 2. Season 1 ended like there should be a season 2. Wah!! Thanks Diane for letting me know and I agree, the story needs to be finished.

      2. I also think that Sinan’s father shot him out of spite for being rejected. His father was surprised that he felt no remorse for killing Emine as he thought she was dead. He threatened that no one actually knew what he was really capable of to his wife. I don’t think Sinan’s ex did it because she was wanted by the police at that time, and she never wanted to go back to jail ever again. She was a talented chef and a clever person who almost landed a rich husband. She probably went to greener pastures. As for Timur leaving before the wedding, that was just some distraction to create mystery.

        1. 9hooked on turkish filmsbut the ending of the girl i loved awnful ending left hanging dont think i willrush to watch future films from turkey their loss if they dont produce season 2

      3. Thanks Christine for your thoughts on this…I wonder if Emine, who is bonkers, shot him…I am only on episode 19 on netlfix where Emine burned the pan in the kitchen and looks out of her mind, and is so evil, it must be her who would be willing to hurt Sinan even though his father is terrible there is no doubt. I love turkish tv because they know how to write complex characters that have both the good and bad in them instead of the american cartoon version where one person is good and another is bad without any depth and confusion. This is richly cast, and music is beautiful and the story is complicated. I love it.

      4. Turan’s wife was the one that pushed him to get Mime to marry Tirun. Every time Mime seemed sympathetic to Sinan, she pushed her towards Tirun. None of them did anything to help Sihanouk have a relationship with his son. Tirun is controlling and calculating. Maybe a union between Sihan and Mime would not be a good thing, but as time goes on she will see that she is completely manipulatived by Tirun.

    2. Timur is not nice. His is not love but an obsession he has for this girl from the first time he laid eyes on her. He used an evil person to obtain incriminating information that he thought would remove competition. That makes him evil. He is cunning but uses his wealth to obtain what he can buy.

      1. I agree with you Nora. I just got to the part where he has Mine meet his old girl friend then lies saying he was gone all night…he is devious and selfish. I don’t understand how in Turkey Sinan has no parental rights…in America he would have court ordered visitation and that would be that…how can Timur block that! It makes me so mad! And he isn’t loving to his daughter…she is like an object that he wants well placed but ignored on a human level. And the conniving with Devin…it is sneaky and evil like you said…which makes me think that maybe he did try to get rid of Sinan…terrible that the writer can’t join this forum and tell us what he had in mind.

      2. Forget about Timur being evil … and all the not-so-nice people with hidden evil agendas …what really bothers me is Mine making a mockery of true love … How can she fall for Timur while (supposedly) she loves Sinan so much? It doesn’t make sense to me …

    3. I agree with you would like Mine to fall in love with Timur for he put his life on hold all these years for her. A chance that he took.

  57. Where is season 2 netflix. This is a ridiculous way to treat your customers. Do not meds with people’s entertainment! I will not watch anymore of these.

    1. i hope yo will get the licence to contune this story. i cant believe you are going to do tis to or csttomers.i have toled to my bridge club members. members are 400. please ave a way to in form us if you are goig to show more of the series. and how about gettng more series with gulcan arslan in it. such a fine actress.

    1. I belive that whoever shot at the guy was her late girlfriend….

For this reason I am dropping my suscription to NETFLIX…

  58. I absolutely loved this movie but i do not like the fact that wrong seems to triumph over good. Sinan, his child and his lady should get together and live together as a family. when will we be able to see season 2 w/eng subtitles.

  59. I just finished watching – The Girl I Loved – on Netflix. This is the third Turkish Drama that I have watched and enjoyed until the ending. I cannot figure out why these Turkish Writers leave you with all these unanswered – cliffhanging – endings to the stories. I must tell you that you are messing with our minds. I can understand if you are going to have a second series but none of them have had second series. These Dramas should have happy endings….I do not like these unanswered questions. I have decided to write my own happy ending to this story so I can have a close to this story. My Ending: Timur and Mini get married and live happily ever after. Senan dies. The girl that kept giving him so much trouble is the killer and she is caught and is hung. The mother and father gets back together. The brother and wife have a beautiful baby boy. The man that the sister keeps seeing in her imagination is real and he marries her and gets her out of her misery. The woman that shows up at the wedding it really the first wife’s twin sister and she comes to tell Timur that his first wife is dead. FINALLY: ALL IS WELL WITH THE WORLD! I like my ending to this story better.

    1. ***spoiler alert***
I agree with you on the ending of all the Turkish series – left unanswered. Makes you think its a waste of time since endings are sad and unfinished.

I think Timur is bad and he shot Sinan to have Mine to himself without any more dramas. I loved Sinan as he never did any bad stuff so wanted the wedding not to go ahead when Timur’s wife returned and he eventually got caught for shooting Sinan and put in jail. Sinan and Mine get back together with their son Hassan and get married and have another child and live happily and Mine realises that her love for Sinan was forever.

      1. I would definitely watch season 2 if there’s a season 2 just to see this ending! Thank you for posting….

      2. I do not think Timur shot Sinan. Timur deserves to Marry Mine. He was there for her from the beginning. He truly loves her and her son. Why do these Russian series always have people reappear at such an exciting happening. Makes no sense. Timur has always been there for Everyone. He deserves some happiness with Mine.
Come on Netflix bring the entire series on Netflix or don’t show Any of it. 😡😡😡😡

    2. I like your ending. I agree with you with not having final series. I think Netflix for some reason does not carry them. I have watched multiple series and find there are other series and cannot figure out where to view them.

    3. I like your ending also. I feel Sinan’s father should go to prison for attempting to murder Emine and being horrible to his own wife and son. He is one evil man. I also want Sinan to still be alive and recover and eventually get to know and marry the red haired girl as he seems to really get along with her child and I want him to continue to see his adorable little boy and in time have a good relationship with him.

    4. OMG Judy Ellison, I love your ending….yes to it all…except I agree with Judy McClellan, send Sinan’s papa to do some jail time…
but we need a happy rescue for the Bosnian mom and girl…maybe Sinan’s mom adopts her or sponsors her or something like that, and they run day care centers…
oh, and Merve goes to college in Germany, becomes fluent and marries the boy (blanking on his name) and they write the story that is this story and ehvallah, full circle.

    5. Judy Ellison, I love your ending. I also want Mine and Timur to live happily ever after. I think the boy, Memo, killed Sinan. He was always lurking in the shadows. The acting and music is great in these Turkish dramas. These shows are addicting. I watched The Girl I Loved twice. I also loved Burned Cocoon. I appreciate that there is no foul language.

  60. This was my 2nd TurkishTV drama series I watched. I loved the story but it sucked the end of the story. It left incomplete. Poor Sinan, he was the character who I loved very much. Why the director let him suffered a lot. And who shot him? Where did Timur go before the wedding. I thought Timur was a widow. How come she showed up at the wedding. Probably she was still alive. Really this drama series made me confused. Why the producers made it with incomplete ending. Will there be another Season 2

  61. I did not like mine. Toward end I starting dis liking her. She was plying both of those men against each other. She couldn’t make her mind up I think she to had some mental illness. Poor sini
so I never had chance. As much as she love him in younger years. And he was gone n got hurt. Stop from coming back sooner. That she would have pick Sini the father of her son. That person that show up at end was Timur. Ex wife. Mother of his daughter. Who shot sini. I think it timur or. Definitely. Or maybe his own fathers

  62. I enjoy a lot of Turkish series; and like a lot of their series it never ends well. I agree with most comments when the viewers plead for final episodes. Will there be any more? I liked mines son; who played this role. He looked like Kaan in Intersection; I enjoyed the story line; Mine and Sinan were lovers while she was still at college but fell pregnant and the family fell apart. She was an outcast till Timur came along and married her; but he too was in love with her, so Sinan never knew of this because his scheming father made him leave for America. I liked Timur so I think it was good they were about to marry; his spoilt daughter had changed towards Mine; her son was simply adorable. But I felt sorry for Sinan who tried to make things right when Timur made Mine leave his home which she did; but in the end she ran to Timur and asked him to marry her. Who killed Sinan? Who walked in at the wedding?

  63. I became captivated with this show. So many emotional things going on. My favorite character was Sinan. I was impressed with his moral and ethical compass. He stood up for what is right. I did not find him selfish at all. He tried to follow through with everything he said to Mine…not something alot of young men do. Timur, on the other hand was manipulative. He was use to getting his way and doing whatever it took to get his way. I don’t care for that trait. He should have told Mine the minute Sinan came back to Turkey to find her. But instead, he threatened Sinan. Sinan tried to make everything right and do the right thing. To me, he is the tragic figure in this series. I lost alot of faith in Mine. I hated how she went back and forth with these men and caused all this emotional upheaval for them. To be honest, at the end, I was hoping she would be left completely alone for jerking these guys around. I enjoyed watching Merve’s character develope. There were alot of interesting plots, twists, and moral dilemmas in this show. The ending was so heart wrenching and disappointing. How could the writers and directors leave us hanging like that. Who shot Sinan? I was so hoping that he would have some happiness with the new female character in the show, Yasmina’s mom. Anyway, I sure enjoy turkish dramas very much. Kurt ve Surya was excellent. Loved it. Have watched it twice.

    1. Karen, I agree with your analysis. Sinan was the moral and ethical figure in the show; yet, he suffered more than the others.

    2. i agree. i feel so incredibly sorry for sinan. his heart is so pure and he really loves mine. he was so innocent and still he is the one who got hurt the most. i loved his character.

  66. I was turned on to the girl I loved , and was hooked. I stayed up all night watching. I could not wait to find season 2 and reading the comments from viewers, it seems this is the norm to end the stories without any ending.
Contrary to the comments that Timur is a pervert, I understand where they are coming from, however when you
love someone sometimes its like a possession and not thinking straight. He loved her from the first time he saw
her, did he do some things that was underhanded yes, but I was rooting for him all the way.

Sinan loved her also, but he has to put all and I mean all the blame on his racist parents. I also understand just finding out about his son, but Timur went overboard to make Mine happy because he loved her.
She however don’t seems to know what the hell she want, I feel like I could reach her shake some sense into her. Sometimes you have to make lemon into lemonade expecially if you have a man who loves you and your child as his own. For the sake of the child I would at least try the marriage and if it dose work than at least I know I tried, but Timur is a fool, no way I would be waiting so long .
On my last note. personally I fell in love with Timur what a hot, hot, hot tomalli.

Very disappointed the show ends like this, I was even trying to see if it comes on DVD or something. Very, very, disappointed.

  67. Totally agree with you there. I don’t like sex scenes at all and Turkish dramas are the reason why I love watching shows like Love & Punishment and the one with Biter, Nihal and Adnan, can’t remember the name. I’m so disappointed with The Girl I Loved, the ending was such a mystery. I feel so sorry for Sinan, he’s suffered too much. He’s had to put up with a crazy psychotic Derin, a dumb father and a very fickle Mine who can’t decide what she wants. I know that Timur couldn’t have shot Sinan because he was going to get keep his prize, Mine so there’s no need to keep Sinan away as he had no motive. It did look suspicious because he left his wedding party to do something but will now need an alibi.I think the person who shot him was either Derin or the guy who wanted to take Ena’s child away, Yasmina. It could also be Memo but realistically speaking, I don’t think he’d want to go through all that again because Sinan had dropped charges when he stabbed him.

    Waiting for season 2 now!

  68. This is the third Turkish drama I have watched. Never having been to Turkey, I love the views In and around Istanbul and the view of Turkish culture. I so wanted Mine to end up with Sinan. Obstacles were continuously put in his way. I did not like the controlling character that Ayten so clearly called out as controlling. I think the acting by the character playing Emine was award winning, such a difficult role. My favori te character was Surreya. I want an aunt like that!

  69. I find it puzzling that a 37 years old man find it appropriate to marry a 17 years old but wouldn’t want that for his own daughter. That makes him a pervert in my book.

I can’t see the dislike for Sinan he was robbed of his girlfriend and Son by his mother and father and the family of the the person he love.

He was also robbed by the nasty ass man now trying to play daddy and who stopped at nothing to commit crimes to get the 17 years old girl he wanted.
That’s not love that’s obsession and sickness, you don’t do that to someone if you love them.

Who in the world would be happy in Sinan’s shoes, you can can’t see your own child after everything that happened with no fault of your own but watching another man be daddy with visitation rightss.

He should had taken their asses to court ages ago and blasted it on the prime time news. Can’t believe people are actually saying he was immature and okay with a pervert doing what he did.

Not once did he payed for his crimes which I am sure is not the first time he has gotten away with it!

The only person suffered unnecessary in that show was Sinan and if this is how Turkish shows are this is my first and last one.

In no country or cultural she an adult be able to marry and control a young person.

None of the loved Mine in the end I ended up disliking her myself, I hope no young woman watched this show and think it was okay to do what she and her family done to that young man and his son even after they had more than enough chances to fix it.

Even if she no longer wanted him they should had let him have a relationship with his child it wasn’t his fault he wasn’t there it was all of them.

Couldn’t stand Mine’s mother, matter of fact it was 2 Women in the show I liked in the end The nanny and Mine’s father girlfriend. Will never watch another one of these

    1. The characters of Timur is loving, caring, patient and understanding, compassionate, calm and collective, whose been on the road what’s like to have your heart broken. Sinan on the other hand is young and spoiled rich kid, loving, caring but temperamental, and lack understand. Sinan’s character is selfish only cares about his own feeling and don’t thing about Hasan first. It’s too bad this show is your 1st and last. Kurt Seyit ve Sura are by far the best. Winter Sun is good also. Keeping an open mind and understanding cultural traditions makes it interesting. Furthermore, Turkish tv love scenes is a whole lot better than American tv soap opera.

    2. ***spoiler alert***
So totally agree with all you said about Timur. He is a pevert to want a 17 year old who was just a few years older than his own daughter. He was controlling and evil with all his ways in trying to keep Sinan away from Mine.

The producers of this series need to do better and add a series 2, where Timur is punished for his selfishness. It looks like he was the one who shot Sinan to get him out of the way. Sinan should recover and Timur’s wedding should be stopped. Mine should be on her own for some time and then realise that Sinan is the love of her life and they should get back together and get married and have another child. Timur should go to jail for attempted murder and realise that his obsession for Mine was disgusting as he is so much older than her and they would never ever be happy in the future as Mine would be bored with him and leave eventually for someone younger.

      1. The Middle East and to a degree Turkey are full of rich middle aged men marrying young girls, my own best primary school poor beautiful stunning girlfriend was married off to a 27 years old rich man back few decades ago, we met twenty years later I was travelling the world she looked like an old woman and she told me on the night of the wedding she hid under the bed. She also told me I was very lucky. Lucky me I was not stunning and my parents educated me.
On the night of her wedding I stayed inside crying and did not join the entire neighbouhood seeing her off despite my mother’s pleas to “come and see your best friend as a bride” I too cried that night for losing her. Watching these shows is like watching my extended family and my neighbourhood, they reflect the society, a society that may look modern but is still VERY traditional and patriarchal.

    3. Too bad you will not be watching any more Turkish series. So many really good ones on currently. I loved ” The Girl I Loved”. Timur was at all times, for years, a kind, considerate and very patient person. He truly wanted to keep Mina from the suffering she would have to experience from her family as well as the society she lived in. Timor took her in and respected her wishes to live as they did. I am trying to purchase this series on DVD but can’t seem to find where to get it from.

  70. Loved this wanted to see season 2 and the end of the wedding we all wait for I so enjoyed all 79 shows was on pins n needles to see second season so so disappointing

  71. I too am disappointed that there is no conclusion to this movie. Why leave this many unanswered question? Is there a book form of this story with the finished ending? And if so is there an English version?
Doesn’t anyone want to buy this unfinished movie and finish it.
    Signed,
    Unhappy watcher

  72. I had watched all 79 episodes of The Girl I Loved last year and was absolutely mortified to find out that I was going to be left hanging because they never produced a final season. Failing the production of a final season to properly conclude the series, it would have been acceptable if the producers had concluded it with, say, a 3-part mini series; they still could even at this late date. As it stands, I am hating the fact that I ever started watching this series, even though it captured my attention to the extent that I “binge” watched it. I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT WHEN THE PRODUCERS LEAVE THE ENDINGS UNFINISHED.

    1. Your not the only one – this is the second Turkish series I have watched where Series 1 goes for about 80 episodes, which you binge watch, only to find it stops with no conclusion – am so angry for wasting my time. Next Turkish series I watch (if I bother) I will goggle first to see if further series are available and also check any blogs to see what others have to say …. these Turkish film companies are quite odd to say the least.

  73. I find myself being captivated by these Turkish dramas. I was very disappointed in this ending. I loved the character of Bala. She was so beautiful and cheerful. Mine was so long faced all of the time. I laughed so hard at Erdets antics. Mines sister Emine played her part so well. I loved this show, and really hope there will be a season two.

  74. Can anyone tell me who is the lovely actress portraying Timur’s friend Bala?

If there are any folks here who can provide more details about the different music selections, I’d love to know more…, ie artists, what type of music, ie turkish classical, or folk, or popular? as well as whether this is well-known already to a Turkish audience or was composed especially for this drama.

I have watched 72 episodes of this so far, and although I can’t stand all the melodrama and other aspects of the “soap opera” genre, I still end up sticking with it. Why is that I ask myself?

There are moments of such exquisite acting, I cannot stop, and also, despite some of what sounds like the same repetitive violin music (is this the exact same music used in other Turkish soaps—sure sounds like it!), there is music at times of simply ravishing beauty. I love the songs in them as well, remind me of Greek music I have also loved for years. I found Mine’s father Turan incredibly thick, inarticulate and annoying (the character not the actor). Mine’s mother’s constant histrionic fits made my head ache, and the comic-relief characters of Erdal and Funda go on and on and on…. Still I watched, hoping that Mine would eventually realize that Sinan is an immature, self-centered brat, braying like a donkey about his “rights”, and ignoring every consideration he should be paying to his son, to Mine, to Timur, etc. Sinan’s world is all about himself and his endless feelings. On the other hand, Timur is so much more deserving and self-sacrificing. Both men are demanding but we can count on Timur to always do the right and unselfish thing in the end, at great cost to himself. I was extremely touched by the way in which he lets go of Mine, and even goes to great efforts to get Sinan out of prison so Mine can go to him. At a point when he is deeply suffering himself, he even takes pains to be attentive to his friend Bala during her chemotherapy. And if that isn’t enough, he goes out of his way to straighten out the mess over the DNA test, even though doing so does not help his own case. I was touched over and over again by his loyalty and generosity to his employees, to Mine’s family, etc. For a man with this much money, he is unspoiled, and not at all arrogant, which we can see in his easy ability to speak with the poor guy on the shoreline. I’d take such a husband any old day! Mine, at times, I wanted to strangle for her inability to appreciate Timur. Fortunately, the series allows her to mature enough to become disenchanted with the vain spoiled Sinan and to see Timur for who he is.

I stopped watching before the final episodes on Netflix because experience has shown me that Turkish dramas frequently end abruptly deliberately withholding a happy ending which is usually deserved by this time! Despite a ridiculous amount of high drama, ie. nearly fatal accidents, stabbings, fires, break-ins, arrests, trials, etc, the cast shines here uniformly. Every role has a great actor/actress in it. I especially wanted to praise those acting as Timur, Seda, Emine, Bala, Mine, Kerem, Surreya and Merve. The actress portraying Emine has an especially thankless job since her character is so unlikeable and mean-spirited. To make such a role interesting is the hallmark of great acting in my mind.

    1. Well we can’t really blame Sinan. 2.5 years of his life were taken away from him, he lost the love of his life, he lost his son, so I think that’s why he became kind of hot-headed. Instead of handling matters maturely, he would just get frustrated. But I still wanted Mine to be with Sinan, I don’t know why lol..

      1. Timur has lost a lot also, but he can still put others’ interests before his own, and he doesn’t have a temper tantrum about not getting his way all the time. His first wife ran out on him, he took over Mine to help her out, without any expectation of having an intimate marital relationship with her, and then he realizes he should give her up for her sake. There is a ton of suffering on his side. Sinan acts as if only he has suffered, and uses it as a justification for hurting others. He is a self-serving person and would make a rotten husband for anyone, unless he were to grow up and become less selfish. All his romantic ideals are just that, fiction, and not real life. This in real life is why couples who marry to early frequently break up later, when they are grown and realize what makes someone a good husband or wife. Love is not a feeling, it is a decision, and is expressed in action. Sinan talks all the time about his “dreams” they had to gather. That’s all well in its place, but it isn’t the stuff of real life. Moral character is far more important in lasting marital happiness, and it requires self-sacrifice.

      2. It seem to me. That femur was always in mine face. He had all them spies watching her. Where she going and even show up at places where she was at. Making sure she wSnt meeting. Sinan. I could not stand femur. He took advantage of her. And her parents. Why didn’t they help her. Because honor. And looked what he did. Having affair on his wife. My dau would stayed at home

  75. Hello there. I live in the United States and I love watching Turkish movies and tv dramas. What I noticed is, there is not a whole lot of affections going on with characters. Is this a traditional thing, not to kiss or heavy petting when the characters need to be emotionally romantic. This is so frustrating becos they only kiss the forehead or the cheeks…..why not get into the kiss and make it real because that is the reality of any situation when it comes to emotionally affectionate. This is my one complain becos I am watching tv and yelling at the same time saying to the characters, what are you waiting for, go hug the girl and kiss her now!!!

  76. Here’s my theory if season 2 doesn’t air.
Mine doesn’t marry Timur because his wife showed up. And Sinan’s mom takes him to the hospital and he survives. And when Mine comes to know about Sinan’s condition, she realises how much she still loves him and goes back to him. And now Mine lives happily with Sinan and their kid, Hasan.
Timur, on the other hand, gets back with his wife. And they live happily with their daughter.
And the person to shoot Sinan was probably the boy who wanted to take revenge. And now he’s in jail.
    THE END 🙂

    1. ***spoiler alert***
I wish they would give us an ending I hate dramas with no ending. i think timurs’ dead wife showing up at the wedding was a great plot twist. he told everyone his wife died. I never liked his character way too arrogant for his own good. the person that shot Sinan had a male hand so it would be sinans father, timur, the uncle of the girl Sinan was protecting or a hitman. Sinan was the victum of everyone his own family, mines’ family, crazy ex lovers, everyone he met betrayed him. he was the best hearted truist well refined well rounded character of all. news flash the only person that could have had the intelligence for mines abduction and the person doing deals with derin was timur he had to be THE CHEIF that came up with the plan.. Derin was a sociopath but not that bright. Timur did not think about his daughter calling the police and mine getting shot he just wanted to be mines hero. the other thing that bothers me is bekir was not wearing gloves so there would be dna somewhere on that car or on emines’ phone when he took it from her. I just wish they would finish the show.

    2. I am going to go with your version. I am at the 35th episode and they finally wrote enough dialogue script to make me not dislike Timur. They could have given more background to get a sense of who he was. I didn’t like to have to infer where he was coming from to help me not question why he transferred his attention to Mine instead of Merve.
I loved reading all the comments here, but realize it is going to end without any resolution and I will miss all the time I could have rewatched a different show that has equally interesting women, highly developed back stories for the men ( as in Behzat Ç) so I am going back there…
thanks for your idea of how we wish it would have ended. I think this show tried to show every type of woman possible in Turkey, and why they all have merit, but it failed a bit showing the men with enough back stories to reveal why their choices and behaviour were the way they were. Thanks.

  77. I don’t think Timur shot Sinan. The hand holding the gun did not look like his hand. Could be Deryn. Also, how would he know Sinan was walking that way at that time. Someone was lying in wait.

  78. I like Tukish movies/tv shows. Not happy with ending.of this show, seems incomplete. Hopefully there’s Season 2. Like actors, Timur, Mine, Sinan, Hasan etc.
I think Timur is handsome, a good match for Mine, who matured so beautifully, especially after baby born.
My guess, who shot Sinan? 1st) Timur, since he had to do something & left wedding for 1/2 hr. 2) Denir, for revenge.

    1. No season 2. The series ended in 2012, five years ago. There’s no point contacting Netflix for episodes that do not exist. Go to Wikipedia Turkish version and check it out.

      1. ….my husband laughs at me every time this happens! It’s happening a lot. We get all built up and then they drop us… If there is no 2nd season, there should be a disclaimer…WARNING..you will love it but die of disappointment !

  79. Did Timor go to visit a dying Bala in a private hospice? There was something fishy about her recovery and she was not at the wedding.

    1. I do think Timur had to go see Bala which of course he would not tell Mine about (and the neighborhood was not on the waterfront) . But it is a great red herring for us to throw suspicion on him.
I don’t know how close the houses are to from Timur’s to Sinan’s parents’ but Emine was also not seen during the same time Timur was gone and then the close up of her later had a wily eyebrow up and no longer a dejected look on her face. I wish the writers would tell us since they obviously aren’t making season 2.

  80. Loved this movie except for the unfinished ending!!! Need to have a second season to finish this. There are so many things left unfinished. Who shot Sinah, why did Timur’s wife show up? She was suppose to be dead. Did Mine mother except the purposal.

      1. Angie. I agree I believe temur may have shot Sinai. He was make sure Sinai was out. So he have mini and Hansen all to himself. I could not stand. Temur. He was rich and the means to get what he wanted

  81. I loved this movie but very disappointed in the ending – have also noticed that these Turkish
movies have only 1 season and never end the story, good or bad it must end.

I wanted Mine to marry Sinan, they belonged together no matter what. Timur was very
overbearing, ugly, a liar, evil and was obsessed with Mine, it wasn’t love, she was an object.
Timur would do everything evil to tarnish Mine’s and Sinan’s love for each other.

All the Turkish movies I have watched have the girl going back and forth between two
lovers. I really was getting disgusted with Mine because she was always defending
Timur saying “well he was there when Hasan was born” so what, so was her family.
Timur made sure he overpowered Mine by playing like a father to Hasan while leaving
his own daughter on the outside looking in.

Babies minds are like sponges, they will mimic whatever they hear from adults and papa
was one of them. Mine should have made sure to have Hasan call Timur Uncle and shown
    pictures of his real dad.

I believe Timur shot Sinan because he wanted it all, the bride and her son and he also knew
that Sinan would have visiting rights and that he could not live with. Plus the producers
made sure they left a clue in everyone’s mind that Timur shot Sinan by showing him leaving
the wedding and then driving real fast to get back to the wedding,

No doubt in my mind Timur did it – I wish they would show where Sinan survives and they
put Timur in jail forever. This would make me very, very happy.

    1. Seems like it only you and me who saw that bit! I still think he is a pervert and a horrible man. What he done wasn’t love and I can’t see how others find it acceptable and attractive.

His nasty manipulative actions was disgusting, he had ever change of acting as an older man and do the right thing and Mine ended up with the being in Captivity syndrome, sticking up for the perv all the time while expecting Sinan to be patient and understanding.

Understand that another man playing daddy to my son who has no idea who or what I am and I couldn’t touch him without this nasty ass old man being in my face.

Sinan owed him nothing and he killing himself over another man’s child while neglecting his own and one can tell he always got his own way, I always suspected he done something to his daughter’ Mother because of the way he was.

Show leave me feeling disgusting and I skipped and fast forward a lot especially the ones with the perv in it.

Why would love not win but crimes and wrongs wins

    2. ***spoiler alert***
yes, so true what you said about Timur. He was horrible and use his power to get what he wanted.
Sinan and Mine belong to gether they are young and should have got married and had a girl. Timur who was very evil and covered all his evil plots trying to keep Sinan away from Mine should be put in jail. Even though he did some good things behind it all was a motive to show Mine that he cared but in actual fact he was so much older than her and a pervert to want a young 17 year old. She should have concentrated on his own daughter and her happiness and not stolen Sinan’s happiness to be a father to his own son Hassan.

  82. End very dissapontted and very inconclusive I love to watch
Turkish show. But this is another one with very bad end
Sentid and Sura is too but at least is a real story. The girl I loved is a show with not real story. When I watch a show I expected at least to finish the story even if that finish bad
Who killed Sinan? Is he dead? Why Timur’s wife appear. Supposition she was dead? Amine just finish mad? Edarch ‘ s
Child is a girl? That was more inconclusive love story
Seriously. There is not a season 2 ? Can believe.

  83. You guys, I could be wrong but I swear Timur was talking to Bala and said his first wife died…I guess I misunderstood. So was it his first wife that was calling Merve and Timur? Why would Timur leave on his wedding day to run an errand..so dumb. I feel like the producers thought they’d be renewed for another season and then they didn’t get funded or something because nothing got tied up nicely, everyone was left without a nice tie up. I feel so bad, I loved watching and getting attached to the show only to get no joy at the end. I don’t think they’ll do a season 2. Hassan is now in Intersection …which if you haven’t watched yet…go now! So are some of the other actors involved in other shows. So sad we won’t get a tidy ending.

  84. Is there a season 2?? Surely after all these hours I spent watching the girl I loved it ends this way???? No way

    1. I cannot believe they did this to us! It took forever to get any joy and THAT is where it ended? So bummed!

    1. I just finished watching the last episode of The Girl I loved. Will there be more? Please…hope so!

      Claudia

  85. Hopefully there is a season 2 so that we will know who shot Sinah.. The Girl I Loved has great actors and writers.

  86. I went on a website and bought the book to finish out there life. Unbelievable that Seyit committed suicide.. He was such a strong man.

  87. I so totally agree with you about Mine and Timur…and Sinan was too hot headed. Timur gave Mine such peace and true love. So glad his daughter turned around.

  88. oh, I was trying to see if episode 79 (I watched on Netflix) was the end and it seems that it is, so disappointed. They should do another season!!! It did not seem like a good ending at all, too many questions left unanswered!

  89. Is that it?! Surely ep 79 cant be how it ends… Really disappointed with the ending. Really good series though, with phenomenal acting.

  90. It’s too bad this series ended on it’s 79th episode. I am sure the producer/s didn’t plan for it to end where it did.Surely something is detaining the continuation or conflict happened that brought everything to a halt. But I do agree with everyone…I got hooked and want to see ‘The Girl I loved’ to the end! BRAVO to the amazing Turkish actors! I love that there are no explicit sexual scenes, barely kissing….proving that a show can be captivatingly powerful without it.

  91. How do you know it was the last one? Thats really stupid isnt it. Yes I agree the killers could have been them even Temir

  92. Yes Lulu I’m with you it seems why would he leave the wedding to go out suddenly? Also that other orphaned kid might have done it but why? OR that lady that wanted revenge on him. How will we ever know?

  93. I agree with you Gorana 🙂 I cant believe it. Have you watch Seyit ve Sura one? That is the same but true story at least

  94. I’ve lost a lot of sleep and tears over The Girl I Loved and to think that is the way the show ended is crazy. I’m captivated by Turkish soaps, hopefully Netflix will continue showing them. Season 2?
And I loved the wedding gown, and Mine’s wardrobe….

  95. I just finished to watch this beautiful drama on Netflix . I was very upset with the ending. I did not know that they censured Tv show and Movies that are politically incorrect according to them.

  96. I watched this on Netflix – all 79 episodes – and like so many others was really disappointed with the inconclusive ending. I spent a couple of days searching the internet for a second series and finally came across a review which said that unfortunately the show had been axed in Turkey. The reviewer stated that this would have been due to either the show not being popular enough there (the market is very competitive or because it was too political with the character of Mine’s auntie. Just wish Netflix would accompany programs discontinued mid story with a warning!

  97. So disappointed with the very untidy ending. Thought perhaps there might be a follow up? Cliffhangers are not good unless you know everything will be resolved. We all like a good ending. Thought the themes explored in the show handled really compassionately, especially that of the character Emine and her mental illness. Believable characters. Scenes of Istanbul brilliant.

  98. I was completely captivated by this show. A lot of the drama could have been avoided or cut short. I skipped a lot towards the end.. Was disappointed with the ending and wanted more… Also did not feel the chemistry between Timur and Mine. Although Timur is such a fantastic actor and so were a lot of the others. I started watching Turkish serials on Netlifx starting with Calikusu with the help of subtitles. Seems they like such endings.. sad and complicated endings. Will watch more of Bulent Inal, am such a fan!!

  99. This show had me captivated I couldn’t wait to get home and watch it. There were parts that just had me irritated that I skipped through but all in all very good, I think Derin shot Sinah and I loved that Mine and Turah finally got together because Sinah was too hot headed but did not like that it ended with uncertainty not knowing if there will be a continuation.

    1. I watched the series and think derin shot sinah and Turah was behind it and now she is going to the wedding to kill Turah or maybe both Reality hits how parents can ruin their kids lives

  100. I am disappointed … I don’t know if Sinan died and whether Timur killed him . Timur has a wife, didn’t trust him throughout the movie, he was the bad guy and he wins at the end??? crap

    1. Same thing I was asking, why did Sinan had to suffer so badly not once did he had a chance at happiness even after all he done.

The man who done so many wrong turns out getting everything and the one who done nothing wrong but fall in love got punished.

Do they not believe in love and honesty in Turkey is this a portrait of Turkish culture with older men doing anything to be with younger girls.

Mine mum had never once supported her daughters my gosh she is the worst mother I have ever seen in a show.

  101. Is the 79 episode the last one of The girl I loved very disappointed at ending really enjoy the show. Please reply.

  102. So stupid, my 3rd Turkish show that i am watching and has a very negative ending.. what he hell? I think i am done watching this crap…

    1. This is my first and last not that much time to watch a show that only leaving you angry and that wrong doing it the way to win!

Not one person that done anything wrong got punished but all the kind loving people got punished and pain.

How could one person be the one constantly be treated so badly it’s like the show was punishing Sinan for being born and fell in love.

He gave up everything and still ended up with nothing and the evil perv done everything nasty and wrong still wins. How sick and disgusting

  103. Not happy with the ending. Why did Sinah have to suffer so much? Temir did a lot of bad things to keep Sinah and Mine apart but is somehow still portrayed as being a good guy. Why was it so hard for them to understand Sinah’s point of view? He had 2.5 years stolen from him when it comes to his son yet no one seems to have sympathy for him. Don’t get it.

  104. Do they not believe in happy endings in Turkey? Every single TV show I’ve watched has ended badly. How did Merve’s mom come back from the dead? I’m assuming either Derin or Bekir shot Sinan? On Netflix, episode 79 was the last one.

    1. No I don’t think they do as I cannot see why Sinan had to suffer that much even if they didn’t want him to end up with Mine who I ended up disliking very much.

They could have left him have a good relationship as a young father to his son

Not even the girl in the kidnapping had the amount of pain and suffering Sinan had. Just horrible show only believe in hate and wrong doing

      1. Agreed. I could not stand that all the evil, deceit, manipulation & an old man’s lust & opportunistic controlling ways won the day. Timur was selfish & used that child to create a wedge & a weapon to divide Sinan & Mine I’m now convinced all the writers are dirty old men wishing & lusting after teenage girls. Disgusting.

        1. Una novela muy buena pero como les puede gustar el actor viejo sucio que seduce a una chica inocente!!! Bulent Inal.
Desafortunadamente es la costumbre de esa parte del mundo en que el honor vale más que tu como persona😭😭😭

  105. could not understand why the story is left incomplete ? so many unanswered questions eg: where did Taimur go just before the wedding; who shot Sinan? what happens with the return of Timur’s wife ? Wasn’t she supposed to be dead? Over here in Pakistan they are calling the 96th episode as the last episode but surely it is not?

    1. Dizide aşk değil aşk acısı,aşk ızdırabı,insan ruhunu nasıl yıpratıp,hayatı cemennehe e7evirdiği işleniyor.sakın aşık olmayın mesajı veriyor.Gidişata bakılırsa yani senaristlerin ne yapacağı hakkında tahminim.Feriha yı f6ldfcrecekler 2.bf6lfcmde Feriha ile Emirin ilk yakınlaştıkları hastane bahe7esindeki bankta Emir oturacak f6yle bitecek.Umarım yine bankta biter ama Feriha f6lmez.
