Synopsis

Aslan (Kivanc Tatlitug) is a young man who is the leader of the crime family business of Soykanlar. After his father committed suicide 5 years ago due to some psychological problems, Aslan takes over the family business. He struggles to balance the conflicting requirements of his family with those of the mafia world he controls.

Devin (Serenay Sarikaya), on the other hand, is a young and successful psychologist. She has been raised without love and tries to do her best to deal with family problems. Her mother has bipolar disorder while her sister suffers from borderline personality disorder.

Out of pure coincidence, the lives of Aslan and Devin intersect. They meet on the same flight to Istanbul.

Aslan and Devin get attracted to each other at first sight. Even though they come from different backgrounds, they find themselves drowned in each other.

Devin all of a sudden enters into a big and complicated Soykanlar family. She has to deal with her future mother-in-law Hulya Soykan, who is a strong, dominant, and dangerous woman. Devin understands that she would be in a power struggle with Hulya Soykan.

Hulya Soykan (Nur Surer) has a narcissistic and vengeful approach. She does not want to lose her power in the family. She wants that everyone in the family should obey her rules. Whenever she meets Devin, Hulya Soykan realizes that her position in the family will be struggled. In order not to share her son with another woman, Hulya Soykan does not refrain from doing anything.

Cihan (Nejat Isler), on the other hand, is the older brother of Aslan. He is the black box of the Soykanlar family. He does his best to get approval from her mother Hulya Soykan. Cihan approaches Devin when he learns that his brother Aslan is dating her.

The story becomes more complicated when Cihan starts therapy sessions with Devin. Even though Aslan wants Devin to be far away from Soykanlar family, he cannot refrain his lover from the family business.

Meanwhile Aslan tries to end the dark deeds that his family has been carrying on for years. While dealing with chaotic family business, he also needs to find the balance in his family. He aims to protect his lover Devin from his family.

The Family (Aile) tv series story is about a young guy Aslan Soykan who tries to balance the conflicting requirements of his family with those of the crime family business he controls. Will Aslan and Devin get along well even though they share similar wounds due to their families? Will Aslan manage to end the dark deeds of his family business? Aslan Soykan (Kivanc Tatlitug):

Aslan has been the leader of the crime family business since his father committed suicide 5 years ago. While he has been struggling with the wound that his family has done to his soul, he tries to end the dark deeds that his family has been carrying on for years. Aslan has some psychological problems due to his father’s influence as a gangster and his mother’s narcissistic and vengeful approach. He owns a nightclub called Volta. When she falls in love with Devin, all the balance in his life changes drastically. He struggles to balance the conflicting requirements of his family with those of the mafia world he controls.

Devin Akin (Serenay Sarikaya):

Devin is a successful psychologist. She is a strong and ambitious woman. She has been raised without the love of her parents. Her mother has bipolar disorder while her sister suffers from borderline personality disorder. Her father on the other hand is married to another woman and lives happily with his new family. Devin falls in love with Aslan even though they routinely clash over various issues. She knows that Aslan comes from a different family background but still Devin wants to do her best to take care of Aslan and his family.

Hulya Soykan (Nur Surer):

Hulya is the mother of Aslan, Cihan, Leyla, and Ceylan. She has dedicated herself to her family. She is a strong, dominant, and dangerous woman. At the same time, she is disapproving and manipulative. She wants her children in accordance with her own rules. She does not want to lose her authority in the family.

Cihan Soykan (Nejat Isler):

Cihan is the eldest son of Hulya Soykan. After her father committed suicide, he was blamed for not informing his family beforehand. Thus, he has to leave the family business to his brother Aslan. Even though he stays away from the family, he soon comes across his brother. Cihan has some psychological problems and wants to get her mother’s approval throughout his life.

Leyla Soykan Sayici (Canan Erguder):

Leyla is the daughter of Hulya Soykan. Due to her family’s pressure, she has a marriage with Tolga whom she does not love. Leyla has two children. She has a problematic marriage where her husband has been cheating on her. She decides to take the reins of her life and regain all the values she has lost.

Ibrahim Soykan (Levent Ulgen):

Ibrahim is Aslan’s uncle. He still could not digest the fact that his brother Yusuf took over the head of the family years ago instead of himself. He is chronically frustrated by not having made the boss of Soykan family. He enters into fierce competition with Soykan family in order to get what he has lost. He tries to prevent Aslan’s every business because he feels that his authority is undermined by Aslan’s greater influence in the family business.

Seher Soykan (Emel Goksu):

Seher is the grandmother of Aslan. She has been suffering from dementia. She is a sharp-tongued and stubborn woman. Despite her illness, she still has authority over the Soykan family. She does not get along well with her daughter-in-law Hulya.

Tolga Sayici (Mert Denizmen):

Tolga is the husband of Leyla. He is the accounting manager of Soykan family business. He is quiet and sincerely negotiable.
