Synopsis

Three Sisters tv series is an adaptation of a best-seller novel of the Turkish author Iclal Aydin with the same name.

The story takes place in Ayvalik in 1998.

Nesrin (Iclal Aydin) and Sadik (Reha Ozcan) have been married for 25 years. They have a happy life in a small town at the Aegean coast. They live happily together with their three daughters: Turkan (Ozgu Kaya), Donus (Almila Ada), and Derya (Melisa Berberoglu).

Turkan is the oldest daughter in the house. She is 22 years old and is known for her beauty all over the town. She is naïve, silent, pure, and romantic. She is like a girl who is born to be a perfect wife.

Donus is the second oldest daughter. She goes to high school and prepares for the national university exam. She loves reading and writing and eventually, she wants to write a novel.

Derya, on the other hand, is the youngest daughter. Like her sister Donus, she goes to high school and prepares for the national university exam. She is rebellious, clever, outspoken, lively, and strong.

Even though these three sisters have different personalities, they are very close to each other. They share one bedroom and at the same time, they share their dreams, disappointment, and happiness.

The lives of these three sisters change all of a sudden.

A well-known wealthy family (Korman family) asks for Turkan’s hand in marriage with their son Somer (Berker Guven). Within a month, Turkan and Somer get married and hold a fairy tale wedding ceremony.

Turkan dreams to have a happy marriage just like in fairytales. However, she finds herself stuck in the fairy-tale castle. On her wedding day, she realizes that her husband Somer has accepted this marriage without his consent.

Somer says that he will never become Turkan’s husband. He aims to get married to his girlfriend Mine (Nazli Senem Unal) and wants to return to London. Even if he is married, he does not end his relationship with Mine and continues to meet her.

Meanwhile, the lives of Donus and Derya turn upside down by a big secret from the past. The shadow of their past continues to follow them.

Nesrin and Sadik, on the other hand, do their best to protect their daughters. They do not want to reveal what happened 20 years ago in order to get their daughters from the edge of the cliff.

Three Sisters (Uc Kiz Kardes) tv series story is about the changing lives of three sisters Turkan, Donus, and Derya. Will Turkan find happiness in her marriage? Will Nesrin and Sadik manage to hide the truth about their past? Will Somer continue his love affair or start to love Turkan? Turkan Kalender Korman (Ozgu Kaya):

Turkan is the oldest sister who is 22 years old. She is known for her beauty all over the town. She is naïve, silent, pure, and romantic. She is like a girl who is born to be a perfect wife. She loves reading romantic novels and dreams to have a marriage just like in the novels.

Donus Kalender (Almila Ada):

Donus is the second sister. She goes to high school and prepares for the national university exam. She loves reading and writing. She has some feelings towards her classmate Serdar.

Derya Kalender (Melisa Berberoglu):

Derya is the youngest sister. Like Donus, she also goes to high school and prepares for the national university exam. She is rebellious, clever, outspoken, lively, and strong. She is not afraid of raising her voice.

Sadik Kalender (Reha Ozcan):

Sadik is the father of Turkan, Donus, and Derya. He works as a manager of the post office in Ayvalik. He has been married to Nesrin for 25 years. He is a good father and a good husband.

Nesrin Kalender (Iclal Aydin):

Nesrin is the mother of Turkan, Donus, and Derya. She is a teacher of a primary school. She has been married to Sadik for 25 years. She is a good mother and a good wife. She wants her daughters to accomplish what she has longed for: Nesrin wants Turkan to have the life that she could not have; she wants Donus to write the book that she could not write; and she wants Derya to beat the people whom she could not beat.

Nezahat Kalender (Benian Donmez):

Nezahat is Sadik’s sister. She loves her nephews too much.

Fatih Kalender (Hakan Atalay):

Fatih is Sadik’s brother. He is irresponsible and disobedient. Years ago, he abandons his daughter, gives the responsibility of raising his daughter to his brother, and leaves everything behind. However, 20 years later, he comes back to Ayvalik and wants to meet his daughter.

Ruchan Korman (Veda Yurtsever):

Ruchan is Somer’s mother. She has everything in life but she does not have love. Since she got married to Ozer, she has suffered from physical and psychological violence of her mother in law. However, she learns how to be strong and how to fight back. She becomes a strong woman who is dominant, insensitive and headstrong. She does her best to control the life of her son.

Somer Korman (Berker Guven):

Somer is the son of Ruchan and Ozer. After he has studied in London, he wants to live as he wishes and start his own business independent from his family. He does not want to be as if his father. For this reason, he challenges his parents. Since his mother does not approve his girlfriend Mine, he gets married to Turkan in order not to become penniless. However, he does not end his relationship with Mine.

Mine (Nazli Senem Unal):

Mine is Somer’s girlfriend.
